St. Tammany Parish Public Schools boasts an 80% reading proficiency rate, as well as a low 16:1 student teacher ratio. Its 55 schools serve nearly 39,000 students, and in 2017, the district was given an “A” rating from the Louisiana Department of Education. Even if you don’t have children, you can still benefit from living on the North Shore—homes located in top-rated districts typically see an increase in value over time!

Ready to get out and explore? There’s plenty to do on the North Shore, so you won’t have to head into the city to have some fun (unless you want to!).
