Millennials Love NOLA: Here’s Why

New Orleans is a great town to live in, there’s no doubt about that! But for such an old town with such a rich history, more and more millennials are flocking to the region to call NOLA home. It seems that, between the rich local culture and the modernization of historic architecture, there are plenty of reasons why young people are considering this as a place to live.

Awesome Local Events

The obviously popular event is, of course, Mardi Gras! This event spans over a week of its only individual traditions, rituals, and events! Whether it’s going to a music festival with today’s top performers, traditional parades, or bonfires, Mardi Gras is full of fun things to do. Beyond that Nola features some amazing festivals like the French Quarter Festival, Jazz & Heritage Festival, and much more!

Rich Community Culture

This goes without saying. As the birthplace of jazz, the local music scene in NOLA is absolutely out of this world. Beyond that there are several historic bars and restaurants that give NOLA a unique flavor (pun intended) that you can’t find anywhere else.

Amazing Architecture

Settled in 1718 by the French, NOLA is one of the oldest cities in America. As such, the architecture in the region reflects that. The French and Spanish colonial flair that most of the buildings exhibit have become a hallmark of the city, and with more and more people choosing to revamp their homes but leave the historic architecture alone, residents can get the modern amenities they love in a unique historic home. It’s the best of both worlds!
